Spring Term 2021 Lockdown Update
Dear parent/guardian,
As a school we hope and trust that you and your family are keeping well during these challenging times. We are very pleased with the level of engagement of our pupils and the quality of the work that is being submitted. Thank you to everyone in your home who is helping your child or children.
We would ask that you continue to engage with the class teacher during the course of the school day to submit tasks and activities. Teachers will only be able to answer queries relating to the online work, all other questions should be addressed to the principal through the school office.
Half Term Holidays.
Please note that school will be closed on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February 2021 for this holiday closure. There will be no online home learning on these dates.
Government Directed School Closure
The current school closure has been extended to 5th March 2021. Further updates on this extension will be issued on receipt of information from DE.
Online Engagement
If you and your child have had difficulty in engaging with the online learning platforms or have not engaged with the class teacher you will receive a telephone call from your child's teacher or a member of the SMT to discuss the level of engagement. Parents should note that the Department of Education are using levels of engagement with school online platforms as a means to determine attendance.
In closing it is worth noting that for all of us, adults and children, striking a balance in our daily routines will be crucial to our wellbeing during these exceptional times. As the days "lengthen" getting out for collective family exercise will be helpful and doing practical activities together as families , both in and out of the house, will be pivotal in seeing through the coming weeks.
Regards from all at Edenderry Primary School.
