As we now move towards Christmas, we would like to do something to help local families who will find Christmas particularly challenging. We will do this by providing food items for the Portadown Cares team who will be supplying hampers to local families over the next few weeks.
Our ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’, is unlike regular advent calendars, as rather than getting something each day, from the 27th November to 8th December, we will be encouraging the children to donate the item identified for the next school day on the calendar.
This is not an instruction and under no circumstances will any child be pressurised into providing any of these items. We are simply encouraging you and your child/children to consider the calendar and, if feasible, to purchase just one or two extra food items during your weekly shop, and then to place these into one of the trolleys that will be located in the entrance hall.
