P7s report finding a star in the Sky
15th Apr 2024
Numbering Military dignatories, MPs, MLAs, consultant surgeons and now award winning journalists - there is no doubt our P7s mix with the best of them.
As part of their literacy focus on reporting and writing persuasive pieces, the P7s today had a lesson in journalism. They formed their own press junket to interview the interviewer, Mr David Blevins.
The Sky news senior correspondent kindly gave up a couple of hours of his time to visit and advise the next generation. Having met and interacted with US presidents, UK Prime Ministers, Irish premiers and N Ireland first ministers, our P7 were in awe of our visitor. Mr Blevins underwent a serious grilling, were he truthfully gave the pupils an insight into the world of leaders and news makers.
Journalists are the great writers of our time, the guardians of truth and those to first draft history. Thus today was a great life experience for our P7 children, a memory they can take with them, in this their final Edenderry term.
