P7s and the UN Rights of the Child
28th Jan 2025
As part of our literacy, PDMU and indeed life skills - the P7s spent some time looking at rights and responsibilities. Within this we studied the UN rights of the child, looking at how all children are safeguarded.
The responses of pupils came back with reflect the enquiring and empathetic minds that the school aims to foster. We had wonderful examples of showing compassion and real belief in safeguarding all children, everywhere.
Indeed the P7s even recieved a head teachers accolade from Mr Blevins for one such set of responses.
Finally in an effort to enshrine our use of these rights, we looked at Friends and did a social experiment over lunchtime.
Rather than everyone playing with their usual friendship group pupils drew 4 other students who they spent lunchtime with. This allowed everyone to feel included and focus on their socializing skills.
