In between the showers, the boys and girls from Mrs Kennedy's class were outside measuring some distances in the playground. They even measured the distance around the perimeter of the whole school. Everyone kept a careful metre count with the trundle wheels and compared them to estimates which they made in the classroom.
Practical Numeracy is always a great way for the children to see the importance of Maths outside of the classroom and away from the books!
Mrs Kennedy was impressed with their estimation skills too!
