Home/School Learning January 2021
Following the closure of school for 3 days from Wednesday 6th January to Friday 8th January as part of the Department of Education lockdown announced on Thursday 31st December 2020 Home/School learning will be in place for all classes from Thursday 7th January to Friday 8th January. DE have designated the opening day of the term as a preparation day, for EPS this will be Wednesday 6th January. P1 to P3 classes will use the school platform on edenderry.org whilst P4 - P7 classes will use Google Classroom. Your child will have already been given details regarding passwords and information for parents regarding log in is contained in a letter placed on the NewsItems section of this website.
I would ask all parents to note the following:
Class teachers will normally interact with children during set school hours - 9am to 3pm. Staff will not be available outside of the set hours and will respond to queries sent outside of school hours the following day.
To avoid excess printing by parents we strongly encourage set tasks to be completed in notebooks. Notebooks have already been distributed prior to the Halfterm break in October.
Any queries not directly related to set work should be directed to myself as principal.
Spellings, tables and number facts set by teachers should be asked and marked at home. There is no need to submit these on a daily basis to teachers unless directly requested by your child's class teacher.
Please note that class teachers will be offline on days when they are required to supervise Key Worker support.
