Primary 4 spent the afternoon carrying out an experiment. We wanted to find out how the polar animals keep warm in cold, icy water. We covered one of our fingers with fat and then placed it in cold, icy water . We also placed another finger, with no fat, in to the water. We discovered that the fat kept our finger warm, just like it does for the polar animals.
