MET Office Weather Warning

14th Jan 2024

Please note that the MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Monday 15th January 2024. Indications are that showers, increasingly falling as snow, will bring some disruption to parts of Northern Ireland.

This will mean that some roads are likely to be affected with longer journey times, so please plan for this.  There will also be icy patches on some untreated roads and pavements which could lead to injuries from slips and falls on the icy surfaces.

We have very limited resources for treating the pavements and and roads adjacent to the school, so please be extra careful when arriving and departing the school. Please take your time. It is much better to arrive late but safe rather than be involved in an accident trying to arrive on time.  Please also be extra vigilant with car parking to ensure children arriving or departing are not being placed at risk.

If the predicted snow fall is heavier than expected and we cannot get enough staff to school to ensure safe supervision of the children, we will make that announcement here on the news section of our website.

We hope to launch our new school app this week. Once it is launched, all future communications regarding weather issues of potential school closures will be sent directly to your phone via the app.
